NICOSIA— The Cypriot Cabinet has approved the revocation of citizenship for 28 individuals who had been naturalized under the country’s now-defunct investment program, the Interior Ministry announced Friday.
Since taking office, President Nikos Christodoulides’s administration has moved to strip citizenship in 41 cases, affecting a total of 150 people — including 41 investors and 109 of their family members.
Additionally, the Cabinet authorized new deprivation orders for 69 individuals whose cases had been initially reviewed between 2021 and 2023.
The ministry also confirmed that the revocation process has been completed for 15 people, comprising five investors and ten relatives.
