Cyprus Weather – Thursday 14th May

A weak low‑pressure system is affecting the region Thursday, bringing increased mid‑ and high‑level cloud and the possibility of a few light, isolated showers. Dust will also be present in the atmosphere.

Winds will blow mainly from the south to southwest, starting light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort and gradually strengthening locally to 4 to 5 Beaufort. Seas will be slightly rough. Temperatures will reach about 31°C inland, 25°C on the west coast, 27°C on the remaining coasts and 21°C in the higher mountains.

Tonight will be mostly clear, though periods of low cloud are expected. Patchy mist or fog may form toward dawn. Winds will shift southwesterly to northwesterly at 3 to 4 Beaufort, briefly reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort on some coasts. Seas will remain slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 14°C inland, around 16°C on the coasts and 9°C in the higher mountains.

Friday and the weekend will be partly cloudy, with a small chance of isolated showers on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will fall slightly below average on Friday before rising again over the weekend.
