FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Police are still seeking suspects after a violent clash between two groups of Syrian nationals erupted in Paphos on Monday night, leaving five people injured, including two in serious condition.
Around 30 individuals, aged 21 to 30, gathered in an open area at approximately 8:30 p.m. to settle personal and professional disputes, according to reports.
The confrontation escalated as participants wielded knives, clubs, and construction materials.
One of the injured underwent surgery.
Three vehicles were damaged during the altercation. Police intervened, transporting the wounded to the hospital and securing the area.
Authorities have arrested three suspects and are working to identify others involved.
