Cyprus’ Education Ministry will expand its network of Summer Public Schools for the 2025‑26 school year, increasing the number of sites from 58 to 64 across all five districts.

The programme, running from 22 June to 24 July 2026, offers learning and creative activities, with a focus on children from vulnerable groups. Teachers from primary, pre‑primary and special education will staff the schools, along with assistants for pupils with special‑education needs. Greek‑language classes for children with a migrant background will continue.

The programme is free of charge, with parents contributing only to meal costs for children attending the afternoon sessions.

The curriculum includes arts, music, theatre, physical education, life‑skills activities, indoor and outdoor games, puppetry and reading sessions.

The ministry will also continue the expanded version of the programme in special schools, operating from 22 June to 31 July 2026 in seven institutions. Daily hours will run from 7:45 to 13:05, or until 16:00 for those opting for afternoon attendance.

Parents seeking further information are advised to contact their child’s school.
