The Cyprus Transmission System Operator (TSO) has announced that the ability to meet electricity demand on Monday night will be limited due to a failure in generation unit No. 1 at the Vasilikos Power Station.
The TSO expects marginal capacity to cover electricity demand between 18:00 and 21:00 tonight.
Efforts are underway to repair the damage, and the issue is being carefully managed by all involved bodies, including CERA, TSO, and EAC.
The TSO urges consumers to save electricity during these hours to help manage the situation.
