FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Unemployment in Cyprus decreased in April, with 8,118 people registered at District Labour Offices at the end of the month.
Seasonally adjusted figures showed a decline in the number of registered unemployed, falling to 9,655 in April compared to 10,035 in March.
Compared to April 2024, unemployment dropped by 13.1 percent, with 1,225 fewer jobseekers recorded.
The decrease was mainly observed in financial and insurance activities, construction, trade, accommodation and food service sectors, as well as among newcomers entering the labour market.
