A weak low-pressure system is affecting the region Saturday, bringing dust and unsettled weather. Dust levels will be high early in the day but are expected to drop by evening.

Skies will start partly cloudy before turning mostly cloudy, with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms expected. Snow or sleet may fall on the highest peaks of the Troodos Mountains. Winds will shift from the southwest to northwest, increasing from light to moderate in the morning to moderate to strong later in the day. Seas will be slightly rough, and locally rough on windward coasts. Highs will reach around 20 Celsius inland and along the coast, and 8 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, clouds will increase in some areas, with isolated showers possible in the west. Winds will remain light to moderate from the southwest to northwest. Seas will be slightly rough. Lows will fall to 8 degrees inland, 10 on the south and east coasts, 12 on the west and north coasts, and 1 degree in the higher mountains, where frost is expected.

Clouds will build again Sunday through Tuesday, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms developing around midday and in the early afternoon each day.

Temperatures will hold steady through the period, remaining slightly below seasonal averages.
