Cyprus’ Public Works Department has announced scheduled roadworks in the Larnaca district, including maintenance on the old Larnaca–Nicosia road and traffic changes linked to the Larnaca–Dhekelia coastal road improvement project.
1. Maintenance on old Larnaca–Nicosia road The department said periodic pavement maintenance will take place Thursday and Friday, March 26–27, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., on a one‑kilometer stretch of the old Larnaca–Nicosia road near Kosi. One lane will close in 100‑meter sections, with traffic directed to the adjacent lane using Stop‑and‑Go controls and appropriate signage.
2. Larnaca–Dhekelia coastal road upgrade (Phase C) Beginning Friday, March 27, a 400‑meter section of the southern lanes of the coastal road will open to two‑way traffic with temporary signage as part of ongoing construction works.
Also starting Friday and lasting three months, a section of Galaxia Street in Voroklini — from Foti Pitta Street to Vachamon Street — will close to traffic. Vehicles will be diverted through Vachamon, Elpidos and Foti Pitta streets.
