A seasonal low pressure system is influencing the region, bringing mostly clear skies Friday with a chance of isolated afternoon showers over mountainous areas.

Winds will range from southwest to northwest at 3 to 4 Beaufort, strengthening to 5 Beaufort along southern coastal areas later in the day. Seas will be calm to slightly choppy.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 36°C (97°F) inland, 30°C (86°F) along the western and southwestern coasts, 33°C (91°F) elsewhere on the coast, and 26°C (79°F) in higher elevations.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear, though low clouds may form along the western coast and later over the eastern half of the island. Winds will shift to light northwesterly to northeasterly at 2 to 3 Beaufort. Overnight lows will drop to 21°C (70°F) inland and along the coast, and 16°C (61°F) in the mountains.

Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a slight chance of isolated showers over the mountains in the afternoon. Clear skies are forecast for Sunday and Monday.

Temperatures will remain steady through Monday, staying near seasonal averages.

Authorities warn that the risk of wildfires remains extremely high across all regions.
