A 23-year-old woman arriving from Brazil was arrested at Larnaca International Airport on Oct. 21 after authorities discovered cocaine both inside her body and on her person.
According to local media, the woman had traveled from São Paulo via a connecting flight through Qatar. Upon arrival, she was taken to a hospital where an X-ray revealed approximately 88 grams of cocaine concealed in her stomach. Authorities also found nearly half a kilogram of the same substance in her possession.
She was placed under medical supervision and subsequently taken into custody.
