The death toll from catastrophic flooding in central Texas has climbed to 104, with search and rescue operations still underway across the region. Officials say dozens remain missing following the disaster, which struck over the July Fourth weekend.

Kerr County, located in the heart of Texas Hill Country, was the hardest hit. Authorities confirmed that 84 of the victims were found in this area, including 28 children. Among the most devastated sites was Camp Mystic, a century-old Christian summer camp along the Guadalupe River. The river surged nearly 26 feet in less than an hour on Friday night, inundating cabins and sweeping away campers as they slept.

Rescue teams have been working around the clock, using helicopters, boats, and drones to comb through debris and swollen riverbanks. Officials say the search will continue until all missing persons are accounted for.

President Donald Trump has declared a major disaster in Kerr County and is expected to visit the area later this week.
