FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The EU expects to have a plan ready early next week for how to respond to the new US tariffs.
“The situation has not changed. We want to avoid tariffs,” an EU spokesman said, as quoted by Reuters.
The US has imposed a 20 percent tariff on goods imported from the EU.
In an interview with CNBC, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says that “everything is on the table” in negotiations with the EU regarding the newly introduced tariff.
