A fire broke out early Wednesday morning at a residence in the village of Avgorou, prompting the precautionary hospitalization of four individuals due to smoke inhalation. A dog was found dead in the yard, reportedly burned and tied near the garage.

Investigators determined the fire originated from a freezer operating in the outdoor area of the home. The flames spread from the garage to the kitchen and pergola, causing significant damage.

Two fire trucks responded to the scene, and crews worked quickly to contain the blaze using breathing apparatus and water hoses. The investigation was carried out by the local police, fire service, and electromechanical authorities.

Officials emphasized the importance of proper installation and monitoring of electrical appliances, especially those placed outdoors.
