Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has been sentenced to nine years in prison for embezzlement, according to Reuters.
Saakashvili, who served as president from 2004 to 2013, was previously imprisoned for six years for abuse of power after returning to Georgia in 2021.
He has spent much of his time in prison hospitalized.
