A weak high‑pressure system is keeping conditions mostly clear across the island, forecasters said Monday, though stronger northeasterly winds and light atmospheric dust are expected mid‑week.

Skies will remain mostly sunny Monday, with some localized cloud buildup in the afternoon. Northeasterly winds will blow at light to moderate levels, and seas will be calm to slightly choppy. Highs are forecast to reach 18°C (64°F) inland, about 20°C (68°F) along the coast, and 9°C (48°F) in the higher mountains.

Overnight conditions will stay clear. Winds will shift from northwest to northeast, remaining light before strengthening locally. Lows will fall to 4°C (39°F) inland, 7°C (45°F) on the coasts and –1°C (30°F) in the mountains, where patchy frost is expected.

Mostly clear weather is expected Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, increasing afternoon cloud cover could bring isolated showers, mainly in mountainous areas.

Temperatures will edge slightly higher through mid‑week and remain near or just above seasonal averages.
