A major conference of German tourism industry representatives concluded in Paphos this week, drawing 250 partners including airline officials, travel agents and tour operators, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism said Thursday.
Organized by the Alfa Reisen network, the event marked the first Cyprus visit for 80% of participants, giving them direct exposure to the destination. Deputy Tourism Minister Costas Koumis said Germany has long been a key market for Cyprus and such gatherings strengthen promotion efforts.
He noted the timing follows a record milestone: more than 250,000 German arrivals were registered this year, the highest in 28 years. Officials expect the conference to further boost tourist flows, including during the winter season.
