FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A Greek group calling itself “Revolutionary Class Self-Defense” claimed responsibility on Sunday for two bombings—one targeting the offices of Hellenic Train, Greece’s railway operator, on Friday, and another outside the Labor Ministry in Athens in February 2024.
Both attacks caused only material damage and no injuries, as police evacuated the areas after receiving warning calls.
In a statement sent to a local anarchist website, the group said the bombings were carried out in response to work-related fatal accidents, including the February 2023 Tempi train disaster, which claimed 57 lives in a head-on collision between a passenger train and a freight train in central Greece.
