FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Cyprus faced renewed heatwave conditions Monday, with temperatures expected to climb above 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit) in inland areas, according to the Meteorological Service.
Authorities issued a yellow-level warning for extreme high temperatures, effective between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. local time.
Residents were advised to avoid outdoor activities during peak hours and remain hydrated, as weather officials cautioned that prolonged exposure could pose health risks, particularly for vulnerable groups.
