At least 40 people were killed and more than 70 wounded in artillery attacks in southern Sudan on Monday, hospital sources said.
The sources, who are affiliated with the largest hospital in the city of Kadugli, accuse the SPLM-N militia group of being behind the attacks.
The rebel group has been in skirmishes with both the government army and the rival paramilitary group RSF since the war between the latter two broke out in April 2023.
The war has since cost tens of thousands of lives and resulted in the world’s largest refugee disaster.
