At a press conference in Brussels on Monday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer made it clear that they have no plans to choose between the EU or the US.
“Both of these relationships are very important to us. We don’t choose between them – but that has historically been the UK’s position for many, many decades,” Starmer said.
The statement comes in the wake of US President Donald Trump signaling that he will impose tariffs on goods from the EU.
