FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Inter Milan secured a place in the Champions League semifinals with a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich at San Siro, sealing a 4-3 aggregate victory.
The first half saw few chances, but the match came alive in the second. Harry Kane put Bayern ahead in the 52nd minute, leveling the aggregate score. Inter quickly responded as Lautaro Martinez found the net following a deflected header off Joshua Kimmich.
Three minutes later, Benjamin Pavard extended Inter’s advantage with a powerful header off a corner from Hakan Calhanoglu. Bayern equalized again in the 76th minute when Eric Dier’s header from the byline looped into the net.
A dramatic late attempt by Thomas Müller was denied by Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer, securing the Italian club’s place in the semifinals for the second consecutive season. Inter will face Barcelona, which eliminated Borussia Dortmund in the quarterfinals.
