FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Israeli authorities have strongly denied Amnesty International’s claims of “live genocide” in Gaza, calling the accusations baseless and labeling the organization as anti-Israel, AFP reported Tuesday.
Amnesty’s annual human rights report reiterated previous allegations of genocide against Israel. Israeli officials dismissed the claims as lies, emphasizing their stance against the accusations.
The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas began on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched a large-scale terrorist attack in Israel, killing over 1,200 people and taking more than 200 hostages, according to Israeli authorities.
Since the war’s outbreak, over 52,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported.
