According to the war monitor SOHR, Israel has carried out over 300 airstrikes in Syria since the Assad regime was overthrown by rebel groups over the weekend.
A number of military facilities have reportedly been destroyed in the attacks.
The Israeli government said on Monday that it is attacking targets that could potentially pose a threat to Israel.
