FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Israeli negotiators are traveling to Doha, Qatar, today to engage in discussions on the Gaza ceasefire.
The first phase of the truce, which ended earlier this month, successfully prevented sporadic violence from escalating into a full-scale conflict.
Hamas has been urging immediate negotiations on the second phase of the ceasefire, advocating for broader terms, while Israel has expressed a preference for extending the initial phase.
The talks, mediated by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, aim to address these differing positions and explore pathways to a more stable agreement.
