FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A federal judge in Boston has halted the Trump administration’s ban on foreign students at Harvard University, granting the institution a temporary legal victory, Reuters reports.
On Wednesday, Trump signed an order suspending entry for foreign nationals seeking to study or participate in exchange programs at Harvard.
The university challenged the policy in court, arguing that singling out its students did not constitute a valid “class of aliens” under immigration law.
The judge’s ruling temporarily blocks enforcement of the ban, though further legal proceedings are expected.
