An Israeli attack on a Hezbollah base in eastern Lebanon has killed six people and wounded two others, according to state-run Lebanese media.
According to the state-run Lebanese news agency NNA, the attack was carried out by a drone in the Shaara area of the city of Janta.
The Israeli army said earlier on Saturday that Israeli forces had attacked Hezbollah targets in the Bekaa region of Lebanon, adding that they would prevent any attempt by Hezbollah to rebuild its forces.
The ceasefire between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah militia, which was agreed to last November, was recently extended until February 18, according to the White House.
The original plan to withdraw Israeli troops from southern Lebanon within 60 days has been postponed. Both sides accuse the other of violating the ceasefire.
