Two men, ages 25 and 26, were arrested Thursday in Limassol after a Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) operation that led to the seizure of nearly three kilograms of cannabis, police said.
The arrests followed an investigation based on information suggesting the two suspects were hiding drugs in various outdoor locations. According to police, officers saw the 25‑year‑old placing two nylon bags in separate open areas in the district. The bags were later found to contain about 2.13 kilograms of cannabis.

Police then stopped his vehicle and found an additional 29 grams of cannabis inside, leading to his arrest.
A search near the 26‑year‑old’s home uncovered two more bags containing about 168 grams of cannabis. A subsequent search of his residence located nine bags hidden in the yard and a storage area, holding roughly 478 grams.
Both men were arrested for drug‑related offenses. YKAN’s Limassol unit is continuing the investigation.
