Looters dressed as firefighters have been going in and out of abandoned houses in the evacuated area to steal, according to Los Angeles police.
Looting in connection with the fires has become a real problem for local authorities in Los Angeles, writes Sky News.
At least 22 people have been arrested for looting since the fires began on Tuesday, with seven of them arrested in the past two days after a curfew went into effect in the areas hardest hit by the fires.
‘We have even arrested two people who were dressed as firefighters going in and out of houses,’ says a spokesperson for the Los Angeles police.
