A low-pressure system approaching Cyprus is expected to bring cooler temperatures, scattered showers, and possibly isolated thunderstorms from Tuesday evening through Thursday.
Temperatures will remain seasonally normal until Tuesday night, reaching 30°C inland, 29°C along the southern and eastern coasts, 27°C in the north and west, and around 21°C in mountainous areas.
If the forecast holds, this will be the first weather system to affect the island this season, he added.
From Tuesday to Thursday, temperatures are expected to gradually drop below seasonal averages, ranging between 25°C and 26°C.
The cooling will be especially noticeable in Nicosia, particularly if rainfall occurs.
