A man died after a targeted shooting in Queensland early Friday, police said.
Emergency services were called to a property in Slacks Creek, about 20 kilometers southeast of Brisbane, at around 1:15 a.m. Officers found a 41‑year‑old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead.
The Queensland Police Service said initial investigations indicated the attack was targeted and there is no ongoing threat to the public. A crime scene was declared and inquiries are continuing.
