FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Cyprus as part of his European tour, which includes a stop in Canada for the G7 summit.
The trip marks only the third visit by an Indian prime minister to Cyprus, following A. B. Vajpayee in 2002 and Indira Gandhi in 1983.
The visit comes amid recent tensions between India and Turkiye, after Turkiye voiced support for Pakistan during last month’s India-Pakistan military clash.
