FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE — Online shopping in Cyprus has reached a record high, with 76% of consumers now making purchases online, surpassing the previous peak of 70% in 2021, according to a survey by the Office of the Commissioner of Electronic Communications & Postal Regulation.
The frequency of online purchases has also increased, with consumers making an average of 2.0 purchases per month in 2025, up from 1.6 in 2023 and 1.2 in 2022.
The survey, conducted in early 2025, gathered responses from 1,009 citizens and 502 small and medium-sized businesses. It examined trends in the use of postal services, reflecting a growing reliance on e-commerce among Cypriot shoppers.
