FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – On Saturday evening, residents across Norway reported witnessing a peculiar light phenomenon in the sky.
Jannicke Kristine Dahl Øien, who observed the event in Hemsedal, described it as moving faster than a plane, maintaining a constant brightness, and flying silently in a straight line, lower than the stars.
Another observer in Western Norway likened it to “many stars following each other.”
The phenomenon is believed to be linked to a satellite launch by SpaceX.
The launch occurred from California’s Vandenberg Space Force Base on Thursday, March 20th.
Initially thought to be Starlink satellites, the objects were later identified as American government surveillance satellites, according to Pål Brekke, head of science at the Norwegian Space Center.
