Police carried out intensified patrols overnight across urban areas nationwide, aiming to prevent serious crime, maintain public order and strengthen the public’s sense of security.
The targeted operations resulted in nine arrests for various offenses, including illegal possession of property, unlawful possession and transport of untaxed tobacco products, and traffic‑related violations.
During the night, officers stopped 664 vehicles and checked 839 occupants. Police also conducted 39 inspections of premises, issuing 20 citations for various violations.
Traffic enforcement led to 234 citations, including 40 drivers reported for driving under the influence of alcohol. In total, 472 breath tests were administered, and 15 vehicles were seized as part of ongoing investigations.
Police said coordinated operations to prevent and combat crime will continue daily, with increased patrols, targeted checks and rapid operational response to enhance public safety and uphold public order.
