A 19‑year‑old man has been sentenced to two years in prison for his role in a robbery at a kiosk in Larnaca last year.
The robbery occurred on March 29, 2025, when three masked individuals entered the kiosk at about 3:30 a.m., threatened the 25‑year‑old employee and stole cash from the register.
During the investigation, a police officer identified one of the suspects as the 19‑year‑old.
A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was taken into custody under successive court orders issued on March 30 and April 5.
Police filed the case before the Larnaca District Court on April 9, with the suspect held in pretrial detention.
That time will count toward his prison sentence.
The case was investigated by the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department.
