The company emphasized it does not request personal or banking information via SMS or unfamiliar online platforms and confirmed no personal data has been compromised.
Petrolina advised the public to rely only on its official website, MyPetrolina app, and verified social media channels for accurate communication.
Customers who have interacted with the scam messages or provided sensitive data are urged to contact their bank immediately and report the incident to the Police Cybercrime Unit by calling 22808200 or using the online complaint form.
The warning follows reports of a scam that allegedly defrauded victims of €37,000.
