FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Six people are in hospital across Cyprus as a result of extreme temperatures, according to the State Health Services Organization (OKYPY).
Spokesperson Charalambos Charilaou said four patients were admitted with heatstroke, one of whom is in critical condition and has been intubated.
Two others showed signs of heat exhaustion and were hospitalized due to underlying chronic health conditions.
The country has been experiencing unusually high temperatures, prompting health officials to urge the public to take precautions, especially vulnerable groups such as the elderly and those with preexisting medical issues.
