Police carried out an operation Monday in the districts of Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos as part of ongoing efforts by the Aliens and Immigration Unit to locate and detain individuals residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus.
During the operation, a total of 18 third-country nationals were located and detained after it was determined they were residing in the country illegally.
All those detained were transferred to a reception facility. In cooperation with the Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection, authorities are proceeding with procedures to repatriate them to their countries of origin.
