FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Authorities in Cyprus seized more than one kilogram of cannabis concealed in cereal boxes shipped from abroad, police said.
The discovery was made during routine inspections carried out by the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) in coordination with Customs Department officials.
Officers found four nylon packages containing dried cannabis hidden inside four cereal boxes.
Following an investigation and evaluation of evidence, police identified a 31-year-old resident of Limassol as a suspect.
He was arrested to assist with the ongoing inquiry.
