Police in Cyprus have received a large number of complaints from citizens receiving messages in that their accounts and credit card in a Cypriot bank have been frozen due to missing information.
At the same time, they are prompted to click on a specific link – all of which leads to a Phishing attack.
Police urge the recipients not to click on the specific links, since there is a risk of charges and data interception.
This is the latest scam to blight Cyprus, which has seen fraudsters impersonate the Post Office, government services and police.
