FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Authorities have decided to increase patrols and inspections for fireworks and firecrackers following a meeting led by Police Chief Themistos Arnaoutis.
Crisis Centers will operate in all provinces throughout the Easter holidays to coordinate responses to incidents.
Police have instructed coordinated inspections of all organized lambratzies, which have been planned in collaboration with ecclesiastical and municipal authorities.
Any illegal bonfires found will be dismantled immediately.
Officials are urging parents to advise their children on the dangers of fireworks, firecrackers, and starting fires during the holiday celebrations.
