FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE — The center-right Tisza Party, Hungary’s main opposition force, holds a commanding lead in a new poll ahead of next year’s elections.
According to a survey conducted by Hungarian polling institute Median, 51% of decided voters say they would support the Tisza Party, led by Peter Magyar, while only 36% back Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s Fidesz Party.
The poll suggests Hungary may be headed for a change in government after Orban’s 15-year tenure.
The Tisza Party, founded last year, has rapidly gained traction, signaling strong voter dissatisfaction with the current administration.
