President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides will participate today in the MED9 Summit, bringing together leaders of nine Mediterranean countries that are members of the European Union. The summit is being held in Slovenia.
Discussions will begin with a focus on EU competitiveness and the Multiannual Financial Framework.
On the sidelines of the summit, President Christodoulides is scheduled to meet with Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob to discuss bilateral relations and priorities related to Cyprus’s upcoming presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Later in the evening, the president will travel to Zagreb for meetings with the President and Prime Minister of Croatia.
