Public generally unhappy with Cyprus government’s economic policies, survey finds

A new survey conducted in Cyprus and published by Politis newspaper reveals that Greek Cypriots are generally dissatisfied with the government’s economic policies.

Conducted by RetailZoom with 2,057 participants, the survey shows that 35% are not satisfied at all, 20% are less satisfied, and 28% are moderately satisfied with the Greek government’s economic actions.

Only 7% are very satisfied.

On economic changes in the past two years, 38% of participants said conditions have worsened, 42% believe they have remained the same, and 19% feel they have improved.

Regarding electricity generation from natural gas, 72% of participants don’t believe it is possible for Cyprus, while 21% do.

When asked about areas for investment for cheap electricity, 40% chose solar energy parks, 17% chose natural gas, and 34% preferred a combination of both.

Finally, 50% support Cyprus partnering with Greece for electricity cables, while 34% are against it.
