Cyprus’ Public Works Department has announced a series of roadworks in the Larnaca and Limassol districts, including lane closures, night works and temporary traffic diversions.

In Larnaca, crews will build ramps and green areas at the junction of Omirou Street and Spyros Kyprianou Avenue in Aradippou from March 17–28. The left lanes on both roads will be closed for about 150 meters, with traffic shifted to the right lane.

On the Limassol–Nicosia (A1) motorway, excavation work to install electronic variable‑message signs will take place March 17–20 between the Germasogeia and Linopetra roundabouts. The hard shoulder will be closed for roughly 600 meters.

Cleaning of sound barriers along the Limassol bypass will run from March 17 to May 15 between the new hospital junction and Germasogeia. The emergency lane will close in 200‑meter sections but traffic lanes will remain open. Similar overnight closures will occur Monday to Thursday for storm‑drain cleaning between the new hospital and Mouttagiaka.

Crews will also clean drainage channels on the Limassol–Paphos motorway during daytime hours through May 15, again with rolling closures of the emergency lane.

Asphalt works are scheduled overnight on March 17 at the junction of Spyros Kyprianou Avenue and Kosti Palama Street, and on March 16 on Christofi Ergatoudi Street. Both projects will involve temporary road closures and diversions.

The department urged drivers to follow temporary signage and expect delays.
