A second vessel from the international flotilla attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza is expected to depart from Cyprus on Saturday afternoon.

The boat, named Sirèn and sailing under the Italian flag, docked in Paphos on Friday. It is carrying eight people — five European nationals and three from third countries.

Two passengers received first aid from ambulance staff, though hospitalisation was not required.

Authorities provided food and water to those on board, and a technician resolved a mechanical issue ahead of the vessel’s planned departure.

Identity Checks Completed for Gaza Flotilla Vessel Docked in Cyprus

Meanwhile, authorities have completed identity verification procedures for passengers aboard the first vessel from the Gaza-bound flotilla, which docked in Larnaca late Thursday evening.

According to official sources, the process took several hours due to the presence of third-country nationals among the 21 people on board. These included citizens of Turkey, Pakistan, and Malaysia.

The vessel’s captain is also reported to be a Turkish national.

The docking procedure is currently underway, with Cypriot authorities continuing to manage the arrival in line with international protocols.
