FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE — Syria and South Korea have signed an agreement to formalize diplomatic relations, according to Syria’s foreign affairs authority.
The accord was signed in Damascus by Syrian foreign affairs chief Asaad al-Shibani and South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul.
The agreement includes provisions for opening embassies and exchanging diplomatic missions between the two nations.
Syrian authorities described the move as part of broader efforts to rebuild the country’s global standing and strengthen its international presence.
