Police have arrested two more suspects in connection with a home burglary in Larnaca district in which two hunting shotguns and other items were stolen.
The latest arrests involve a 17‑year‑old and an 18‑year‑old, both detained on Feb. 23 under court warrants issued as part of the investigation.
Their arrests follow the detention of another 17‑year‑old on Feb. 22. He was brought before the Larnaca District Court on Friday, which ordered him held for seven days for further questioning.
According to police, the burglary occurred overnight between Feb. 21 and 22 at the home of a 46‑year‑old man. Thieves stole a gun safe containing two double‑barrel hunting shotguns, cash and a safe that also held money.
Officers later located the two firearms and the safe, along with the cash inside, in an area of Larnaca district on Feb. 22.
The Larnaca CID is investigating.
