Tourism revenue in Cyprus fell 33.8% in March, reflecting a sharp decline in arrivals from Israel, one of the island’s most important markets. Officials said the drop was also linked to lower spending per visitor.
The United Kingdom remained the largest source of tourists, accounting for 32.9% of arrivals in March. Poland ranked second, followed by Germany.
The month also saw a drone attack on the British air base at Akrotiri, which prompted travel advisories from several countries.
