President Donald Trump was reportedly caught off guard by recent Israeli military actions in Syria and against a Catholic church in Gaza, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Leavitt said Trump had not been informed beforehand but subsequently called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in both cases to address the incidents. She emphasized that the president maintains close contact with Netanyahu and continues to cooperate constructively with the Israeli leadership.
